Vertical 52 Recap, Nov 5: Love Holds #1 as ReelShort Vaults Into the Top 10

By Nirav Patel, Founder, Vertical Charts

The Vertical 52 settled at the top this week and tore up everything underneath. In the November 5 update, Love Is A Dangerous Game held #1 for a second week, two October 19 DramaBox debuts climbed into the top four, and ReelShort shoved two titles into the top 10 that were nowhere near it seven days ago. Ten shows are new to the chart. Nine of them are ReelShort. Here is what moved.

DramaBox still owns the summit

The top five are all DramaBox, and the #1 and #2 spots did not change. Love Is A Dangerous Game edged up from a VertiScore of 85.9 to 86.0 with about 106.8 million views. Deny Me, Dragon King stayed at #2 at 83.5 with about 307.8 million views. VertiScore is our 0 to 100 engagement score; the full recipe is on the methodology page.

The real story above #5 is last week’s newcomers growing into the chart. Falling for the Prince at Dark Arts Academy rose from #4 to #3 (82.0 to 83.3) and roughly doubled its views to about 32.7 million. Five Years of Hate, a Lifetime of Regret moved from #5 to #4 and jumped from 79.7 to 83.1, with about 31.8 million views. Both hit DramaBox on October 19. In their second chart week they look like keepers, not one-week spikes. Think Again! I’m the Hidden Boss Mom slipped from #3 to #5 but still sits at 81.6 with about 92.2 million views.

  1. Love Is A Dangerous Game (DramaBox), VertiScore 86.0, held #1
  2. Deny Me, Dragon King (DramaBox), 83.5, held #2
  3. Falling for the Prince at Dark Arts Academy (DramaBox), 83.3, up from #4
  4. Five Years of Hate, a Lifetime of Regret (DramaBox), 83.1, up from #5
  5. Think Again! I’m the Hidden Boss Mom (DramaBox), 81.6, down from #3
  6. My X-Ray Vision Sees Right Through You (ReelShort), 80.0, up from #21
  7. My Sister Is the Warlord Queen (ReelShort), 77.9, new
  8. Chosen by the Dragon Baby: His Human Mate (DramaBox), 77.8, up from #9
  9. Tempest: The Last Mecha (DramaBox), 77.6, down from #6
  10. I Wish It Were You (DramaBox), 77.5, down from #8

Eight of the top 10 are DramaBox titles, down only one from last week’s nine. The platform split across the full 52 stays even at 26 and 26.

ReelShort’s two big punches

The chart’s biggest climber among returning titles is My X-Ray Vision Sees Right Through You, which vaulted 15 places from #21 to #6. Its VertiScore rose from 70.1 to 80.0 on about 252.6 million plays. The 62-episode ReelShort title has been live since July 4, so this is not a brand-new launch catching a banner. It is a mid-catalog show that finally got the placement and velocity to crack the top tier.

Right behind it at #7 is My Sister Is the Warlord Queen, the highest new entry of the week. It opens at 77.9 with about 640.8 million plays, the largest view count of any title currently on the chart. Released at the end of December 2025 and running 69 episodes, it is a catalog hit entering our ranking, not a day-one debut. HaveDrama’s app-level ReelShort chart for the week ending November 1 already had it at #5 on ReelShort’s own list, which lines up with the size of the audience we are seeing.

Further down, Their Brother Lost in Space was the week’s largest rank jump, climbing 19 places from #43 to #24 (58.5 to 69.1) on about 90.7 million plays.

Ten new entries, almost all ReelShort

Last week’s 17 newcomers were DramaBox-heavy. This week flips. Of the ten titles new to the November 5 chart, nine are ReelShort and one is DramaBox:

  • My Sister Is the Warlord Queen (#7, 77.9) — the only new entry in the top 10
  • I Accidentally Sexted My Enemy (#15, 72.0), about 293.7 million plays since a May 31 release
  • Married the Mafia Don, Now My Ex Regrets Everything (#22, 69.5), an October 19 release with about 12.2 million plays
  • My Secret Lover Is His Brother (#27, 68.3), back on the chart with about 213.4 million plays
  • Homegirls Before Husbands (#30, 67.7), October 14 release
  • I Had a Baby without You (#31, 67.3), a September 2025 title with about 262.8 million plays
  • God of Ruin (#41, 61.9), October 27 release
  • School for Bad Boys: S*x Lessons (#43, 61.1), another entry in ReelShort’s School for Bad Boys cluster
  • The Cooking Queen: A Recipe for Divorce (#45, 59.7), about 96.6 million plays
  • Backseat Swap: Trapped with His Best Friend (#50, 50.3) — DramaBox’s only new entry, released October 20

Several of those “new” rows are old shows with big cumulative audiences. That matches what we wrote about show age earlier this week: ReelShort keeps mining its back catalog for chart placements, while DramaBox’s chart pressure still comes mostly from recent launches.

The fallers

Last week’s biggest climber is this week’s biggest crash. The Reckoning Takes Flight fell 31 places from #7 to #38, and its VertiScore dropped from 77.9 to 63.5. A one-week spike off a featured shelf rarely survives the next refresh once placement eases.

Ten titles left the chart entirely. The highest exit was How to Dump a Hockey Star, which debuted at #11 last week and is gone this week. Other notable exits include Cooking My Way Back to Love, Undercover Prison King and Move Aside! I’m the Final Boss. Sports-romance watchers still have Rough Ride with My F1 Rival, which climbed three spots to #14 at 73.0.

The partnership titles are holding. Agent of Shadows, ReelShort’s WWE collaboration, moved up one spot to #12 (74.4). Worth the Chase, the second Wattpad adaptation, slipped one spot to #13 (74.3) while roughly tripling its plays to about 28.5 million.

What to watch next

Three questions for the November 12 chart. Can Love Is A Dangerous Game make it three weeks at #1, or do the October 19 DramaBox twins keep climbing into range? Does My X-Ray Vision Sees Right Through You hold a top-10 seat now that it has broken in, or does it cool like The Reckoning Takes Flight? And will ReelShort’s catalog push keep filling the mid-chart, or does DramaBox answer with another wave of fresh launches?

Every score and move is on the Vertical 52. We refresh it every Thursday.
